Our commitment to climate resilience

Every day, Curo helps people recover from unexpected events. As severe weather events become more frequent and disruptive, we recognize the important role we play in supporting resilience. 

Climate-related risks are affecting individuals, organizations, and communities across Canada. As a claims-services provider, we see firsthand the impact that flooding, severe storms, wildfires, and other weather-related events can have on the people and organizations we serve. 

Our commitment to the SME Climate Hub reflects our responsibility to understand, measure, and reduce our environmental impact while contributing to a more resilient future. 

As part of this commitment, we will: 

• Reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by 50% within the next decade (i.e., by 2036);
• Achieve net-zero emissions by 2050; and
• Publicly report our progress each year.

By establishing an emissions baseline, setting targets, and reporting transparently on our progress, we are building a foundation for continuous improvement and informed decision-making. 

Because we help people navigate the impacts of climate-related events, we believe climate action and climate resilience are both business and community priorities.
